The Malaysian Government is serious in encouraging the palm oil mills to harness their biogas as fuel. This will provide additional revenue for the mills and at the same time reduce GHG emissions. With global concerns on the environment, and more stringet sustainability standards being imposed by palm oil and palm biodiesel importing countries, harnessing of biogas will help ensure continued access to these markets.
